Saturday 31st March - General Play

Not as hot and sunny as during the week and a cold wind at times but thankfully no rain.

After a great Friday night at the Bell in Whittington celebating out friendsup and coming nuptuals, it was up and out for some fresh air.

A great day to have off work, the hottest day of the year so far.

What better way to spend a sunny Wednesday morning than a round of golf with 2 great players.

The very elegant, accurate and dazzling Chris (Lady Captain 2002) with the very charming, angelic yet powerful Lady Vice Captain, Rebecca S.

A super day and a great birdy by Chris on the 18th to finish.

Hot, hot and hot - a misty start to the day with delayed tee times but a great start to the summer (hopefully)

Just 9 holes for me and my playing partners due to a (very) late start so we didnt manage to finish the full 18, however great company with Rachel S and Jane D

Spondon Trophy - Branston v Coxmoor

Round 1 Away - Coxmoor, Nottinghamshire

Branston Ladies played their first round match today at Coxmoor. This competition is sponsored by Spondon Trophies and Taskers UK for Ladies over fifty with proceeds from the competitions being distributed to the County Unions represented, for the furtherments of Girls Junior Golf.

The teams comprise of seven ladies, single match play over 18 holes.

The first round is a home and away match so Coxmoore will be visiting Branston later in April. 

We lost 5 - 2 so we have some catching up to do on the return match. A lovely day thought and we were all made very welcome by the Coxmoor Ladies and hope to see some of the play in our Ladies Invitation Day in June.
